Maintaining Your Product
Granite Care and Maintenance
Your new granite countertops have been treated with a penetrating sealer at the fabrication shop before installation. This helps protect the stone from staining. It is recommended that a new sealer coat be applied annually. Cleaning Recommendations You should use a granite cleaner which has a sealant in it as well as an anti-bacterial cleaner. Do not use products that include ammonia or bleach or any acidic acids. Too much soap or cleaner may leave a film or cause streaking. Use a clean cloth or paper towel for best results. Wipe up any spills immediately, oils can penetrate through the sealer if left on the granite for a long period of time. Warranty We provide a one year warranty on the installation of your granite countertops. Warranty items include any problems such as a seam coming apart or any item due to faulty installation. Our warranty does not include repair of scratches that are a result of misuse of the countertops after installation. It does not include chipping or cracking due to excessive heat. Granite is a natural product so color variations are possible. There is no warranty on color variation. All granite has natural pits and fissures and this is a characteristic of the stone. Seam placement is determined by Eternal Stoneworks and is based on the size of the granite slab and the layout of your kitchen. We will always use the minimum amount of seams possible and seams will be visible.
